10 Million iPhones Manufactured - Counting
Apple iPhones, one of the most wanted gadget and also the Gadget of the Year by UK Stuff Magazine, have been on a great number stats for everything.
One of them is the sales in a single month, and other being the high price in India and others.
And now, one more feat achieved. Apple has manufactured 10 Millions iPhones till date. Roughly i remember its 18 months since iPhone was released and that means, 0.55 million phones per month were manufactured on an average.
Don’t expect a press release from Apple yet though, these are iPhone manufacturing numbers, not sales numbers. These calculations don’t take into effect Apple and AT&T store inventory, display/demo and replacement units. And this was counted by guys from MacObserver and InvestorVillage, as zdnet reports!
Apple would be competing with Asus EEE PC in these things, as EEE was one of the most wanted notebooks this year, still the number of iPhones is just huge.
The iPod Nano 4G is also a good one to observe, as these thin and sleek music players are also on a rise.
Lets wait for Apple to give a real report of this issue.

That’s a big number. Wondering how many were actually new buyers, because many of them might be replaced handsets etc. so this is not the total actual buyer count. Isn’t it?
Reply to this comment:OMG that is a big number.. 10 millions..
M wondering how many people are enjoying it.. LOL
few of them must be regretting .. specially Indians, because it damn expensive here
Reply to this comment:@Anand: You are right, there might be many pieces that were just a replacement to any damages etc. So every new iPhone does not go to a new person who never had an iPhone.
@Amar: It is expensive, and there are iPhone killer mobiles coming too, but they too are priced high. So one would still go for the iPhone.
Reply to this comment:Thanks for the info.
Reply to this comment:Yeah but iPhone was the first to start the league and it has originality all the others are just copying what iPhone has started so iPhone is the phone to have at this movement, even with all the con’s like the video recording and the message forwarding problems, i think it is still the best for its own reasons.
Reply to this comment:yeah the number is growing and I don’t think it will stopped. Unless something better than iPhone in the market.
Reply to this comment:@Varun: Yes have to agree that there are many concept phones by other companies but most of them had been similar to iPhone, so most of them would not go for those others unless they are interestingly cheaper than iPhone, and iPhone is $200 in the U.S. So nothing would beat that there.
Reply to this comment:iPhone is so overrated, what’s the fuzz?
Reply to this comment:Apple is synonymous to innovation now… They converted the mere ideas of MP3 players and smartphones into their ‘i’nnovations rocked the world! Though the success is due to major fan base and fashion statement aspects, they are still way ahead of others in innovation and building the echo system around their products.
Reply to this comment:@Ajith Edassery: Agreed, Apple comes out with something that was never the concept which anyone else thought of before. And that’s why the buzz. Macbook Air now being copied by some, iPod is now copied actually, by some like MS to make Zune! Still what Apple thinks is a step ahead of others
Reply to this comment:But still i hate iPhone, very few features, not worth 30K+ in India !!!
Reply to this comment:I don’t have Iphone yet.. i would like to buy one hehehe.. it’s new release here in Japan ^.^
Reply to this comment:@Escoofield, I don’t have iPhone too.
