April Fool is one of the days where even the biggest search engine, Google, plays some big pranks but this time it is Google which has gone wild with several pranks and each of them being best in their own! Below we share is a list of the best April Fool pranks we found for this year:

Google Nose

Google Nose

Coming to your senses: go beyond type, talk, and touch for a new notation of sensation. Take a wiff: the Google Aromabase – 15M+ scentibytes. Google NoseBETA leverages new and existing technologies to offer the sharpest olfactory experience available. Street Sense vehicles have inhaled and indexed millions of atmospheric miles. SMELLCD™ 1.8+ high-resolution compatible for precise and controlled odors. Can anything get better than this technology?

Youtube Shutdown for 10 Years from now

Youtube shutdown

Youtube played will with this, by announcing that it was just a site to judge which was the best video on the web, and the selection of the winner would take 10 years thus Youtube would go offline for 10 years and then a winner would be announced. Check it out below:

Google Maps Treasure Hunt Mode

Google Treasure Hunt Mode

Enough of the simple satellite, maps and physical modes – Google has come up with the Treasure hunt mode which is actually the Captain Kidd’s map plan which is integrated by the Google Street View team into the Google maps. For more awesomeness and better search, zoom in and if you feel you are going out of the track in search, the Google+ page of theirs would give you daily clues!

Google’s Your Photos +Emotion Feature

Google Photos Emoticons

The Google+ team announced the inclusion of Emotions, and the reason for that is because “when it comes to expressing yourself, nothing beats the richness and elegance of a few properly placed colons, parentheses, letters and hyphens.” To give it a try, simply open one of your pictures in the lightbox, and click the “Add emotion” button at the top left of the screen.

Google Play Developer: Add New “Awesome” Application

Google Play App Add

Google Play Add Awesome Application

This was some good fun. It’s only for the developers that they can now submit an awesome application, and not just an application. The developers get an option to select “Add new Awesome Application” as if they would ever think their app isn’t awesome 😉 Going further into it, the developer can select where the app should be featured (options include the Official Google Blog, TechCrunch and Wired, among others), as well as which Google employees should develop the app — Larry and Sergey is an option.

Twitter: Announcing Twttr

Twttr

Starting today, we are shifting to a two-tiered service: Everyone can use our basic service, Twttr, but you only get consonants. For five dollars a month, you can use our premium “Twitter” service which also includes vowels. And this service, according to Twitter would be to make the way of communication more dense, and encourage the reduction of usage of vowels in the words. No where it’s mentioned that this is for fooling, but try to save the image they shared, and it would show 1st April – easy to guess isn’t it? 😉

Nokia 5AM-TH1N6 Constellation Microwave Oven

Nokia Microwave

Nokia has come up with something different: Superfast, water-cooled 8-core high-voltage transformer, which brings a combined performance of 5,000 watts to end-users, letting them heat up turnkey meal solutions within seconds. This looks like one of the JBL speakers, with the Windows Phone concepts. Good try, Nokia 😀

Charge your Mobile Battery through Paytm App

Paytm Battery Charge

Paytm has made yet another technical breakthrough. Now charge your phone battery directly from your Paytm App. Yup, you read it right, no more chargers and cable required. Download the app and experience the magic now! So, the next time you’re running low on battery, launch the Paytm app and experience the magic. The in app handset charging facility is completely wireless and supports all handsets like Nokia, Samsung, Blackberry, LG, Micromax and of course Apple!

GMail Blue

LOL! Seriously, 6 years to develop this intuitive, organic and realistic Gmail blue as said by the developers? One can be easily fooled with the way they presented it in the video. Inspired by nature, ocean, sky etc. this one is real good from Google!

Malaysia Parliament Dissolved

Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak announces the dissolution of Parliament, paving the way for the 13th general election. In a brief media statement, Najib said that he had met the Yang di-Pertuan Agong last week, and the King had given the consent for the dissolution.
“I hereby announce the dissolution of Parliament to facilitate the holding of the 13th general election and now it is up to the Election Commission to decide on the polling date,” said the prime minister.

There are lot more to come during the day! Feel that we have to add more? just add them in the comments and we would update the list!
