Facebook has been a good social network for people, and it is good when you have people who become your friends or already are your friends. It feels annoying when you have people asking for friend requests or searching for you on social networks, and you don’t want them as your friends there.
Same is the case in Facebook where people search for people and add them as their friends, although the person who is being added does not want to accept the request, nor wants to be searched by them. For those, here is the way of how to Block people on Facebook -
Go to your Facebook account home, and Click on Settings in the top right side. A drop-down appears and click on “Privacy Settings”.
Then in the privacy page, you will see some privacy settings in the top and in the bottom there is a big box explaining you the advantages of blocking a person on facebook, and option to search for the person who you want to block.
When you search for a name, you see the results as below and then you can select the person you want to block, by just clicking on the option right to their name.
You will see the list of people blocked in the privacy settings page, in the same box where you searched for the people to block. You can remove them from there anytime to unblock.
Note: If you block someone, they will not be able to find you in a Facebook search, see your profile, or interact with you through Facebook channels (such as Wall posts, Poke, etc.). Any Facebook ties you currently have with a person you block will be broken (for example, friendship connections, Relationship Status, etc.). Note that blocking someone may not prevent all communications and interactions in third-party applications, and does not extend to elsewhere on the Internet.
This is all very good, but do you pknow of a way to find out whos blocking you?

You can go into the same spot described above (settings>privacy settings>search) and deselect the box that says “A link to add me as a friend”. But what I’m wondering is how I can make it so that the person can send a friend request that I must authorize, because I have weird people adding themselves as my friend…anyone know?

To hide your list of friends from everyone who isn’t a FB developer, go to your Profile and click on the pencil icon above your list of friends. There is a drop down menu. Choose “Change Visibility Settings”, go to “See my friend list” and “customize” it to “only me” or put your sister in “Hide this from these people…”.

Liz, I will assume you want that person out of your life in Facebook. Did you remove that person from your Friend’s list? You should be gone from theirs too if you did – and if you followed the directions about blocking correctly, they shouldn’t be able to find you and ask you to Friend them again (assuming they only search for you using the FB identity that you blocked). If that person is a stalker, and not just a PITA – they need to be reported.
Just a comment. FB should have the same options for the Friends list as they do with other settings so we can select how public is is. It’s simple and effective. Maybe some people want to make hierarchies of friends, but most of us don’t need to divide up our Friends List into other lists of friends.
Why not facebook create feature for auto block friends who block the friend, which can be choosen on privacy setting to on or off, because its annoyed me for block each person who block me, tq
To remove someone from your Block List, take the following steps:
