MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited) has launch broadband services under Brand name Tri Band. The services shall be provided on the existing copper infrastructure, initially Broadband Internet Service, other services such as VPN, multicasting, video conferencing, video-on-demand and broadcast application shall also be added in future.

There was lately a news from MTLN, Triband Unlimited Plan, a new plan speed upto 2MB with 6 free Email-IDs, at a monthly rent of Rs. 20,000/- w.e.f. 01.11.2007.
