Changes in the blog theme and an upcoming contest
So finally i found a decent theme, which can be used very well to optimize the ads by google in correct places. Its a free theme but i found it perfect for my current need of good indexing and rankings in google.
The homepage, which will contain no posts, but just links to various categories and their latest posts. Anyways for my regular visitors, there is a latest posts section where you can browse through my fresh entries. And related posts plugin is too activated for better browsing through related posts.
I hope no one gets a feeling of a complete MFA site here, as i still would be trying to drive people to comment here and stick here. Just the design’s changed and not my mind. Anyways, the top commentators plugin is settled to show only on the homepage, and it looks better now. The main change is that, the threaded comments plugin is deactivated and so standard comments box is in place. That plugin in this theme makes the comment section a big mess. Commentluv plugin is still on.
And finally, tomorrow probably there is going to be a contest opened here, a damn easy one! so stay tuned for that! No, am not in need of sponsors for it, will contact the needful if am launching any other big contests later on.
Oops update: Forgot to mention about Amit who actually had helped me in making the homepage in that way, or i would have sat for hours just wondering what to do.

hey Chetan … here’s an error i got in Hathway net section :-
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_related_posts() in /home/thewww/public_html/broadband/wp-content/themes/limauorange/single.php on line 51″
and i think there is no way to come to the main page of the blog from BROADBAND section … plz check out.

Seems you guys have not liked the colours of this theme right? Or is it the navigation? or is because you are finding more ads?

Now let me have an excuse on this..
Actually this blog was built(and almost every blog is built) to make money for me, and i have experienced hardly any 3 digit income from this blog and i had never monetized it really well. There are around 150 returning visitors everyday and others are SE traffic, and am focussing more on SE traffic as they can help me generate more income through adsense etc. So hope you guys understand and bare the ads, am not changing the writing abilities and niche. Will be posting and sharing good tips like i used to do.

Well Chetan then am sure this new theme will add more revenue to your pocket as it has very good ad blending with theme.
But little navigation difficult is their. once your on single post page its very difficult to move to other part of your blog
I myself got confused how to jump to home page.

Changes are difficult to digest, so these theme. Changes are always adopted over the time, so be patient and same people will start appreciating this theme.
I am no odd man out, I also was surprised and little disappointed to see all white colour around, but that’s fine. I would be used to it in few days for your blog.

Welcome dear! I found one little different thing though, the homepage does not give a feel of blog. I think blog shall show atleast a post from your blog, like the latest one!

Things i thought i might be changing -
- Put only the 1st post on homepage, just above all the other sections which are there right now.
- A bit tweaking with the colors.
- Trying to place a logo.

And there you go, winning the votes! Words from my mouth. Without a logo, site looks so plain, isn’t it? I don’t know how I survived without one until now, may be because of the colored header background.
