Technorati, a blog search engine and social bookmarking site for blogs, has over 100 million weblogs in its index. When a claimed blog is pinged in technorati or through any pinging services like pingoat or pingomatic, then the spiders from technorati visit our website and indexes every new content in the blog.. may that be the post or the comments.
But there are a few problems many bloggers are running with.
Darren from Problogger had the same problem in January 2006, i think that was rectified for him later, but not for me.
Blog not being pinged or indexed -
Blogs are not being indexed i.e. the new content is not being crawled by technorati spiders. Here is what i am talking about, couple of my blogs which are updated once or twice weekly are not updated since more than a year.

This problem of not indexing has been there for about 14 blogs of mine.
And one more joke is this:

Top 100 List not getting updated -
While i was reading through some good blogs, i saw BlogOhBlog being no. 8 in Technorati for the number of authority links to the blog.
It had around 14k authority and was ranking 8 overall. ![]()

But when checking the top 100 list of blogs, BOB is nowhere in the list. Instead there is some other blog which presently has a rank of 123. This shows that the top 100 list isn’t updated yet.

Guys at technorati should be checking at this and doing something to rectify these mistakes! It feels bad when we post something good but that does not go into the feeds of some good bookmarking sites like Technorati, and we miss some part of exposure to the world.

Not One! But i have some 10 blogs with the same problem. So you’re not alone. I guess half the technorati system is effected. Too much to handle i guess!
