Fring is known for its mobile app which helps you stay online from your mobile phone, and chat with friends, or call them through its interface. It allows people to keep themselves connected with others through Yahoo, Gtalk, AIM, Skype, Twitter etc. and all of them together.
The developers at Fring have worked to develop the version 3.40 of Fring, with some excellent addition to its features. People those who are into networking do not use just any single IM client or social network, and handling everything separately with different contact IDs for same person in various social networks is a bit difficult.
But the new feature called “unification” helps people combine all the online buddies into a single account.
The advantages of the Unification feature are -
- No multiple listings for same friend
- Ability to see if a friend is online through which of the various IM clients
- Fring Hints you when your friend joins fring or any social network
- Ability to edit profile with photo change, mood status, nick name etc.
You can merge the multiple contacts, and join buddies. The new features are available for only the Symbian powered mobile phones, but Windows Mobile and iPhone based Fring would see the same features soon.
