apple iphoneThe new software for the most geeky mobile phone, iPhone has been released and its called the iPhone 3.0 OS which was released a few hours back and there are millions of iPhone users who would be sitting tight and trying to download the 3.0 OS for their iPhones but most of them are not able to finish the download due to the huge demand through iTunes. Thanks to iHackintosh i could find this easier way for downloading the OS where iTunes is not involved.

iTunes is not able to have stable connection with the Apple server and so the download is being interrupted and stopped in the middle. Here are the direct download links of the iPhone 3.0 OS or the 3.0 Firmware -

Alternate link – iPhone 3.0 Download for iPhone 3G

There is firmware update available for the iPod Touch too, which you can download at -

These downloads can occur at pretty good speed and you won’t see any connection error while downloading.
iPhone 3.0 OS is the latest firmware released by Apple with new amazing options, some of which are cut/copy/paste, Spotlight, better security and options for lost phone, Landscape mode for mails and messaging, autofill of forms etc.

    Hi.

I was out of the country when the 3.0 software came out and I missed the change to update to that before 3.1 came out. I’m going to unlock my phone so I don’t want 3.1. Do you know if there is a way to still get 3.0? I tried downloading it from the file you have here but, once finished, it just opened to my summary iphone page in itunes which is still advertising 3.1

    Thanks.
