Download Mozilla Firefox 3.5 RC1 browser

firefox logoMozilla has released the latest version of its browser Mozilla Firefox, not totally but just the release candidate for Firefox 3.5 which comes with some new features and improvements to the previous ones.

Firefox 3.5 (Release Candidate) is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform, which has been under development for the past year. Firefox 3.5 offers many changes over the previous version, supporting new web technologies, improving performance and ease of use, and adding new features for users:

  • Now, Firefox is available for more than 70 languages so you can download your local language version of the browser.
  • Private browsing mode – Just like the InPrivate mode of IE8, and Incognito mode of Google chrome, Firefox has got a private browsing mode through which what you browse would not be saved, including the web pages, cookies, history, passwords etc.
  • Tracemonkey – Javascript engine. This is for better and faster performance of the browser.
  • The ability to provide Location Aware Browsing using web standards for geolocation.
  • HTML5 for audio and video elements.

While you might try out 3.5 RC1, you should also note that all the themes and extensions might not be working with Firefox 3.5 RC1. Here is a list of all the changes from the previous version to the current RC1 of Firefox 3.5.
