Mac and Apple products are always sleek and proved to be faster than its competitors, and so they have developed a browser version which is trying to prove itself as the world’s fastest one, and its available for both Windows and Mac Operating systems. Safari 4 browser is the one newly launched by Apple Inc.
Here is a list of options -
Top Sites – Safari browser tracks the websites that you browsed in the last 24 hours, and displays the websites as thumbnails on a single page. Wonder which sites have changed since your last visit? Sites with a star in the upper-right corner have new content. A single click opens the page and updates its thumbnail.
Cover Flow – Full page preview of websites which were in your history or bookmarks, and people who use mac/itunes would be easily understanding the cover flow view which is there in iTunes. These page previews are the same when you last visited them. One look is all you need to recognize the site you want to visit. Simply flip through website previews in Cover Flow the same way you flip through album art in iTunes.
Full History Search – With Full History Search and Cover Flow, what you see is where you went.
Tabs on Top – The tabs are pushed to the top of the browser, and so more space and larger web pages looks pretty cool, and multiple tabs is already an option available in the previous versions of Safari browser.
Nitro Engine – Using the new Nitro Engine, for example, Safari executes JavaScript up to 30 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 and more than 3 times faster than Firefox 3 based on performance in leading industry benchmark tests: iBench and SunSpider.
OS app similarity – When you are using Safari in windows, it would look totally similar to those other softwares in Windows and in Mac, it is similar to the mac applications. No new feel of something different.
Developer Tools – In Safari, developers will find the best set of development tools ever included in a browser.
There are several other options available, like the full-page zoom, smart address and search field etc.

For vista i did not feel it was faster then firefox, fire fox was faster comparitively.
I’ll stick with my firefox on my pc, until someone works out the inevitable kinks with safari for the PC.

Will Safari 4 work on Windows XP? I’ve tried FF5 and hated it…went back to 3.6 and it’s not working either…
