Wordpress blogging platform has released the latest version of its software, the Wordpress 2.8 Baker with many new features and improvements to the previous version. And there are around 800 bugs fixed.
The interface is not totally changed, like we noticed in 2.7 when shifting from 2.6 version. And the 2.8 has got speeder than before.

The 2.8 version is named after “trumpeter and vocalist Chet Baker” and here is a video explaining most of the things about the new version -

* Installing a theme now doesn’t require the FTP procedure. It can be done from the admin interface just like the plugins which can be searched for, and installed from the interface.
There is a new codepress editor for editing themes from the dashboard. Also the widgets interface is totally changed and got better for the widget management.

There is a Screen Options on every page for total customization of the page with your wish on having or removing any page widgets, or moving them around to customize the page.
