Experience with Nokia 5310 and its review

February 28th, 2008 | View Comments

So sometime ago, my brother Amit bought a Nokia 5310 piece, the slimmest Xpress music series phone.
Its just a cool looking handset, with the beautiful sound quality. I usually am not good at writing reviews, but this is just from my mind what i feel when i had the phone in my hands and when i used it.

The best things

- Slim body, making a beautiful looking phone with dedicated music keys in the left side, and made up of aluminium on the right side, music control keys are seen.
- Sound quality just rocks, the best and pure quality sound is heard, and why not.. Its a music phone.
- The sound was to some appreciable level, and what i liked is when i increase to the highest level, it still gives on breaks or unclear scratches in the sound.
- Expandable memory upto 4GB, making this phone a good database of sound files. And the music keys could also be used for radio to change the radio stations.
- As you might know, i blog through my Nokia N70 and the same thing when i tried in this phone, i was happy to see the preloaded opera mini and Yahoo Go! softwares. Loved to see that. :)

These didnt impress me

- The camera just is of very low quality. Although its of 2.0 megapixel and has 4x zoom, the image quality is lesser than the other phones with same camera features.
- Battery life is lesser than that i expected, but it might be the heavy usage of mine that led to speedy decrease in the battery life.

My final rating

I would rate this Nokia 5310 the following – 5/5 for look, 5/5 for music, 2/5 for camera and 4/5 for web connectivity. So the overall rating would be 4/5.

The phone can be got in either red or blue color schemes and the one that i used was a damn sexy red color one.
So do you have a Nokia 5310 or is it going to be your next choice?
