This is what describes the application. FindMe is a cool application to show your latest presence and updates.
What you need to do -
You need to add your mobile number to get the full findme experience:-
- A free mobile client.
- Tag your locations as you move around,”At home”,Work!”,”Playing soccer” etc.
- Automatically share your tagged location with your friends.
FindMe works with all Mobile phones. It does not require GPS or additional hardware. Automatic operation is currently available for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile Smartphones and in progress for Symbian and Palm OS.
Only your last named position and the time you were there is shown. No information about your location history is stored or recorded.
How to add this application?
You can add it by clicking on add to profile, or add to page buttons on the application page and then you are sent to -
Then you have to set your phone number by entering it into the empty box given in the next page -
After this is done, FindMe requires you to download its software in your phone, link to which is sent via email or SMS to your phone. Here is what they say -
Tips to get started well -
- FindMe allows you to name where you are from your mobile e.g. home, office etc.
- This is all that appears on your Facebook profile. You control what your friends see.
- If you aren’t in a named location your position shows as Unknown.
- It will work with any mobile phone. You dont need GPS.
- You can always “Go Dark” and hide your location.
