Twitter has been always a place to find friends, make networks and make yourself very well known in the web world. And now many 3rd party services helps you get far better and find people related to same niche, friends of friends, and one service NearbyTweets helps you find tweets and people from same location.
Nearby Tweets is a geography–centric social tool for networking and a business tool for building customer relationships and monitoring real–time buzz. It helps you find all the tweets posted around a certain location, and the keywords that are talked about in and around a location.
You have an option to type the smallest location within a city, in a state, in a country or just find the keywords. Both the tweets, as well as the twitter users in that location are listed. This service actually does not help find just friends, but also related businesses etc.
You can also reach upto a farther place by expanding the Search radius from 100 to 500 miles. Its a perfect tool to find new people who live around your location.
