This is not a paid review, and reason why am writing about this site is because am totally impressed with the simplicity of the website and service, and the speed of file uploads which are upto a size of 5GB allowed per file at a time.
Filedropper is a very cool and easy file hosting and sharing service that allows you to upload upto 5 GB of files for free, and the premium accounts let you do more out of it.
I have a premium account there and there’s a lot of reasons for that -
- The speed of upload is good, even dial-up connection users would love it seeing the file being uploaded at an appreciable rate.
- File storage of 5GB for free accounts/random uploads. A single file of 5GB can also be uploaded.
- No complications, just the homepage has upload option.
- No overload of ads. I liked the look of the website, with not many ads, not pretty sure though as I am a premium user and things can vary.
- URLs are easy to remember and share. There is nothing like 332hg4ggaskjd3.html pages but simple URLs with the file name in the URL of download page, which makes it pretty neat and easy to remember.
Still, you can not upload the files which are confidential, because people can guess the URL and download it because there is nothing which you can keep private in it. If the owner allows this option for premium users, then that would be great.
