apple iphone 3gIt was nothing special if you really think of it, as it was expected. Apple iPhone 3G has grabbed the Gadget of the year award, which was a user choice in Stuff Magazine published in the United Kingdom.

And this being the latest version of the iPhone with extra features and capability of combining a phone with a music player in the computer, was chosen as the favorite gadget by the reader but not the editorial staff. The staff instead voted for Asus EEE PC as their favorite because it is a kind of notebook which gained more popularity and widespread name all over.

According to Stuff’s editor Fraser Macdonald, the voting was done on the basis of the design, performance of the gadget, value and pricing, and also with any special and cool factors which are fascinating and unique for that particular gadget.

It was a fair decision, as the voting was done by the users who actually buy and know which gadget has its own position. Fraser said about the users, “They are the ones out there on the street buying gadgets and so they are a great barometer.”
Although there were some problems like battery drain with the iPhone 3G in the very soon stage after the release, still it could bag the awards as the percentage of affected users was minimal and Apple could very rectify it soon.
