Gmail for mobile 2.0 released – J2ME and Blackberry mobiles

Gmail for mobile was already available for Symbian running phones and worked pretty well with some nice options, and now the Google team has released the version 2.0 for mobile which are supported by J2ME and also for Blackberry mobiles.

There have been many changes and improvements done with this release, so its better to upgrade or download this version of Gmail for mobile.
Some things that you would see in this -

  • Overall performance improvement.
  • Managing multiple accounts at a time.
  • Saving some email drafts for sending them later.
  • Blackberry phones have QWERTY keypads, and so, this gmail has some keyboard shortcuts for better experience.
  • Basic offline support: Can’t get a signal? Not a problem. You can compose and read your most recent emails even when there is no signal. Also, any outgoing messages will be saved in the outbox on your phone and sent automatically when you’re back in coverage.

One more good thing, the gmail 2.0 version is available in a total of 35 languages. Go to m.google.com/mail in your mobile browser to download the new Gmail for mobile for your phone.

    I haven’t check out the price here on Blackberry mobiles. Its a nice mobile for people that love technology.

    I have not set up gmail account. My hotmail account just got hacked! So sad! I can’t access the account any more

    I having another hotmail account and I am so worry it got hacked again. I am going to sign up for gmail. I was told this is safer.

    i don know wether it is safer thatn hotmail, but it is the one i prefer and many of my friends prefer, one problem with hotmail is that many of my important mails go into junk folder so constantly have to check in for mails.

    @Varun I thought hotmail was good to use but I think its not really that true when my account got lockout now. A friend have email me before in the same account that she has been hacked.

    Now Gmail for mobile who can resist that

    You can just go to gmail.com from your browser on the phone and can stil check the email.. so dont worry about it
