Google adsense check expired? What next?
Google adsense blog had posted about a tip on not to forget to deposit the adsense check as soon as you receive it.
Google adsense guys sends a check directly to deposit into the local banks and get funded by sending you the check in form of your currency to make you get the money in the easiest way. But once you receive the check, don’t just keep it with you! Deposit it as soon as possible. As the check expires in 6 months.
And your account goes on Hold until you make changes to your account. AdSense checks expire six months after they’ve been issued. If a check hasn’t been cashed six months after the date that appears on the check, a stop payment will be placed on the check.
And in the payment history page, you would see the notification as “‘Check Expired – Earnings credited back’” and that is when you have to simply review and update your address (make sure to save your settings) and re-select your form of payment.
This shows that Google will not let go your money anywhere if its not credited to your bank. It will go right back to your adsense account.
How do i change address?
- Sign into your Google adsense account
- Click the My Account tab
- Click the Payee Information [edit] link
- Edit your information
- Click Save Settings

Hello,
I read ur articles its a great piece of info. but i have issue regarding my payments. I hope u will help me.
PROBLEM IS:
I have issue regarding my adsense october 2008 payments. I am requesting for stopping the cheque which i got lost since november 25th, 2008 But the following line “earnings credit back” not appears in my payment history page and today is 9th Jan 2009. (which means adsense is not stopping my lost cheque)
I contact adsense support at adsense-support@google.com , request many times for reissuing lost cheque, posted at adsense forum and blog . but I am not getting any reply.
QUESTION IS:
Now my question is will adsense stop cheque after 6 months of issue date? And then i need to reach 100$ target again? or they will just reissue my cheque before 6 months?
