Google adsense check expired? What next?

Submitted by Chetan on Thursday, 4 September 2008One Comment

Google adsense blog had posted about a tip on not to forget to deposit the adsense check as soon as you receive it.

Google adsense guys sends a check directly to deposit into the local banks and get funded by sending you the check in form of your currency to make you get the money in the easiest way. But once you receive the check, don’t just keep it with you! Deposit it as soon as possible. As the check expires in 6 months.

And your account goes on Hold until you make changes to your account. AdSense checks expire six months after they’ve been issued. If a check hasn’t been cashed six months after the date that appears on the check, a stop payment will be placed on the check.

And in the payment history page, you would see the notification as “‘Check Expired - Earnings credited back’” and that is when you have to simply review and update your address (make sure to save your settings) and re-select your form of payment.

This shows that Google will not let go your money anywhere if its not credited to your bank. It will go right back to your adsense account.

How do i change address?

  • Sign into your Google adsense account
  • Click the My Account tab
  • Click the Payee Information [edit] link
  • Edit your information
  • Click Save Settings
