Google chrome 2.0.168.0 Dev channel released – New features and Bug fixes

Google chrome has been getting better and the 2.0.168.0 dev version has been just launched and it included many bug fixes, and new features being introduced, and the chrome team is still working on the known issues and their fixes. One of the good changes in improvement of the fullscreen mode which had some bugs.

New improvements -

  • NTLM auth without automatic logon (Issues 6567, 6824)
  • Remote Desktop and Vista Theme changes now work nicely
  • New French and Polish dictionaries
  • Better support for PAC files and use of V8 to process them (use –proxy-resolver-v8 to try)

Bug Fixes -

  • More improvements to full screen mode
  • Many crash and stability fixes

There are lot more known issues on which the chrome development team is still working on. But these all would not be available in the beta version of the browser, as the dev version is not available for everyone for direct use. Here is a guide on how to switch between beta and dev versions of chrome browser.

So, if you are a dev user and want to get updated with the latest improvements, you can update the browser directly from its options. If you are already upgraded to 2.0.168.0 version, then you would not be notified with any new version availability.
