Google introduces One-line sitelinks

Sitelinks were those links under a search result which used to give extra information and interesting links for a searcher, only if the top result website is really helpful, and trustworthy. There were 4-8 sitelinks in 2-4 lines below the 1st search result usually, but now Google has started showing single line sitelinks too. These are called One-line sitelinks.
Here is what the Webmaster Central says -
Until now, sitelinks have only ever appeared on the first search result, and so at most one site could have sitelinks per query. We’re now launching an expansion of sitelinks: a single row of links can now appear for results that didn’t show sitelinks before, even for results that aren’t in the first position. This means multiple results on one query can now have sitelinks. Up to four sitelinks can show up right above the page URL, instead of the usual two columns below the URL of the first result. Here’s an example where the first three results each have one-line sitelinks:
One of the most interesting feature in this is that the One-line sitelinks do not appear just for the first result, but for the lower results too, and that’s good news for site owners who are not at 1st position but still deserve some good recognition in the search result pages. And its not just the first page, but the sitelinks are going to be spread all over the search results, in the inner search pages too.

A great new feature from Google for webmasters. The algorithm to make those sitelinks is similar to the regular ones, just the design changed and the 4 lines changed to one. [via]
