Google has now launched the service to sync the contacts, and calender items from mobile phone to Google account of the owners. Its called Google Sync and it works with iPhone, Windows mobile phones and phones that support SyncML. Now for those who are always in trouble trying to shift contacts and calender entries between their old and new phones, Google can be the middle man to help it out easily.

Here are the official links of various mobile devices syncing services by Google -

google syncThis is a 2-way syncing process, so if you have contacts in your Google account, you would find them now on your phone too, and there are contacts in your mobile phone, you can transfer them to your Google account and these are always updated to be the same.

After you have synced your mobile phone, for any calender event that has to alert you, will be doing so with a sound or vibration. And risk of losing your phone can not rise your tension, as everything is always stored in your Google account. Sometimes people are more worried if they lose their mobiles, because every calender information and contacts are lost, but Google Sync service reduces every tension for you.

For devices that support the open SyncML protocol, Google Sync will allow for two-way contacts synchronization.
This service is totally free from Google but for some things, carrier charges may be applied.
