Being still in the beta stage, Google chrome can not be fully trusted to save and be running with all the information. It can crash anytime and some of the history/profile information can be lost. So its better to backup all the profile information.

Here is a tool to do so - Google Chrome Backup 1.1.0.22 freeware

Its just a very small software that you have to download. A small photo guide of how to do it -

Download the software.

Open the software and it will look like this -

Now, to backup your Chrome profile, just click on the 1st option - “Backup Profile” and the profile will be backed up in a few seconds to a minute, depending on the number of bookmarks, saved passwords and cache. It will be saved to a folder inside your chrome folder.

After you backup, you can restore the saved profile if your browser faces any problem anytime and loses any profile information. Just hit the “Restore Profile” button and you are done.
