How to create customized Flickr profile widgets?

Flickr users usually have their flickr albums as widgets in their blogs or websites, with the code available through the flickr website. And these widgets are not customizable. They come with plain design and size.

The Profile widget from BigHugeLabs is a good widget creator for flickr users who want to show off their album photos on websites/blogs/forums etc. Here is a short insight from the site, of what it does -
Enter your Flickr username, email, or user ID and this nifty little gadget will create a customized image that you can paste into your profile page (or any other web page) that will automagically update itself. It shows a selection of ten of your photos and some statistics about your Flickr usage. It’s the perfect accessory for every Flickr addict.

If you link your account and choose to keep your photos private, the Profile Widget will not work. The privacy setting is incompatible with the Profile Widget which is used for displaying your work publicly.

You just need to set things like the background color, and have it done horizontal or vertical, and then enter your flickr profile ID to make the widget with your photos, which can be the latest ones, or the most interesting ones.

And here is an example widget made through that tool -

  1. Woah that’s so easy! I always admired people with widgets like this – I thought they’ve put so much work into it and it turns out it’s so easy! I’m not really going to use it but it’s nice to know. Thanks.
