HTC Touch Diamond2 Review – Promising design and features
The HTC Touch Diamond2 predecessor was the popular HTC Touch Diamond. Will this new model live up to the hype of the old one? The Touch Diamond2 went on sale from April 15. The phone is gorgeous to look at and the quality of the phone is really magnificent.
The Touch Diamond2 is running Windows Mobile 6.1 but customers who buy the phone will get a free upgrade to the hugely improved Windows Mobile 6.5 once it comes out in the second half of 2009.

This phone has a high-resolution display. The Diamond2 s larger than the predecessor but the touch screen is easier to use now. It uses a 3.2” wide touch screen. The Diamond2 has about 50% more battery life than the Diamond according to HTC CEO Peter Chou.
The phone has an impressive 5MP camera inside which is improved from the 3.2MP camera of the Touch Diamond. An improved camera and more memory is a win-win situation.
The phone comes with a microSD card slot as opposed to the 4GB of memory that the Touch Diamond came with.

In the box you get an additional stylus and a screen protector other than the usual stuff. This phone also has a push internet function. This function speeds up downloads and slow browsing of web pages. The Ext USB port now comes with USB 2.0 and this can be used with a standard USB plug.
The Wi-Fi signal is now much better than that of the Touch Diamond. The Media Playback is unchanged from the predecessor. The latest PeopleCentric version of the GUI comes with this phone.
Overall, the phone is a vast improvement over the Touch Diamond and when Windows Mobile 6.5 comes out later this year, the Touch Diamond2 phone is going to get so much better.
