Microsoft has released the emaluators and documentation for the believed next generation browser for Windows Mobile, it is Internet Explorer Mobile 6. This browser is set to function in such a way as to provide desktop browsing experience for Windows mobile users.

This browser is set to come with all the new Windows mobile phones in the market, and will have the following features -

• Improved fidelity (support for full fidelity desktop rendering)
• Layout fixes to accommodate a mobile screen (text wrap)
• Deeper integration with search
• Multiple zoom levels
• Easy switching between mobile / desktop versions of sites by specifying UA strings.
• Enhanced Script and AJAX support (Jscript v5.7 from Internet Explorer
• Improved multimedia experience (Adobe Flash Lite 3.1 for Adobe Flash content)
• Enhanced cursor navigation model
• Touch and gesture support – pan support

Firefox for mobile is still a dream with talks earlier that it would be coming soon for Symbian and Windows mobiles, but still no signs. Till then, Opera Mini was a good choice, now IE 6 mobile seems to be a choice for browsers.
