iPod Nano New – The environmental friendly iPod

September 9th, 2008 | View Comments

Just wanted to share a short note on this one. Apple iPod Nano which was just announced has already hit up many hearts and is already getting huge good response from gadget geeks and people, but Apple are not just doing this carelessly.

They too are trying to save the environment and tried to make these iPods more friendly to environment.
Here is what Steve Jobs says about that,

We want to be environmentally sensitive. We’re constantly worrying about it. But the biggest thing is toxics — we have an internal checklist, but the new iPods look great from this point of view. They’re highly recyclable… we’re really trying our best. We think these new nanos are the cleanest we’ve ever built.

And here is the environmental checklist they have followed -
Arsenic-free Glass ?
BFR-Free ?
Mercury-Free ?
PVC-Free ?
Highly recyclable ?

This shows that big product manufacturers like Apple just don’t do things in the bad way, they too care about the world and the environment.
Good job by Apple!
