Kontera wordpress plugin for ContentLinks™
Kontera has finally announced an easy way of implementation of their ContentLinks™ into wordpress blogs. They have released a wordpress plugin for easy setup of the ads in the blogs. Earlier, template files were to be edited to setup Kontera ads into wordpress blogs. I had removed Kontera due to site load problem, but again implementing them back to give them a serious try and see how it works, for atleast 15 days.
According to a post at Kontera blog,
This plugin enables you to:
- Add the ContentLink tag to all your pages in one click
- Block ContentLink ads from appearing on particular posts or categories
- Determine when ContentLink ads will begin appearing on new posts- you can choose to block ads for a particular number of days
- Display ContentLinks only on posts
- Display ContentLinks only on comments
- Change ContentLinks color
Setting up the plugin is just easy and similar to any other plugin installation, and here is the preview when you go the plugin settings page. Its just so easy and few clicks to do everything. Update the options and ads are live.
Thats a good news.
But i still feel kontera ads are not good enough.

Its a good plugin and Kontera is good for bloggers. I stopped using it because you could`nt blocj it on certain pages but now you can i will start using it again.

I had kontera on one of my website which had 10000+ uniques daily and kontera gave me 3-4$/day on the other hand adbrite paid 10$ around for the same. Kontera Sucks dude!

Is it just me or did you recently include Content Links and Pepperjam ads?
Crystal, i recently added them and trying them out. I would most probably replace pepperjam network with adsense again.

Kontera is a good one for me … m using it on few of my huge traffic sites
and by getting this plugin Kontera hv made it more easy for wordpress users too.

I was about to write about Kontera plugin since I had it in my mind after receiving their email. I read it on my blackberry and added a TO DO to it immediately. But would publish it tonight or tomorrow may be.

In my experience, Kontera is one the worst of the partners we’ve ever had. Right now they are tanking with pay outs down over 60% this year. They have very poor targeting. They ran Ford truck ads on our movie site that upset our readers. On top of that they are short on inventory and even if you have the traffic they cannot pay for it. We found them to be pretty sneaky. When we threatened to leave about the above problems, they scrambled to give us a better rev share, but they shorted us on inventory. We got paid less than before on more traffic. Finally when we demanded they let us out of agreement for the reasons above, they refused and will not send our final payments.
Do yourself a favor. Sign up with Chitika or Vibrant Media. You’ll get a good rate, targeted ads your readers appreciate and as much inventory as you can sell.
Well I don’t think that contera is good thing, even if they made this wordpress plugin.
