The LG Cookie mobile phone is said to be the most affordable touchscreen mobile with a 3 inch screen. LG Cookie KP500 is a low budget touchscreen mobile, entering the gadget world to beat the other good touchscreen smartphones, with its pricing style.
It comes with 3″ touchscreen, with 3 Megapixel camera, Music and video player, Micro-SD cards support and touchscreen User-interface.
There are just 3 buttons below the screen, which are for Call, End and the Central button for list of favorite and the currently running apps. On the side, there is a camera key and volume control keys.
It weighs just 89 grams, very easy to handle. Although the user interface is finger-friendly, there is a stylus provided that can be inserted on the lower bottom side to embed into the phone when not in use.
Tapping at different places on the screen gives some results, like tapping the top of the phone screen gives details about the memory, coverage, and shortcuts to Bluetooth etc.
There is a beautiful interface, with which you can play around with many things, like pressing on a contact name can list out few options for you with which you can either Call, Send a message or perform other settings for that selected contact.
Although the UI is good, it does not meet the standards of iPhone interface which allows multitouch and multi-swipe options. There is still handwriting recognition feature though.
The 3 Megapixel camera produces some good quality flicks, and options to edit the picture and video are well defined. The internal memory is of 48 MB, and there is no external microSD card, but there is support for cards upto 8 GB.
The Cookie lacks Wi-Fi and 3G, but the connectivity is through GPRS/EDGE technology, but the other features that are available in this mobile are more than what the mobile is launching with the price for. For U.S. networks, it comes free with contract or for $170 USD or 108 GBP.
