Netscape Navigator, one of the most popular web browsers once which had dominated the web browser market for a long time, has now been set to disappear for always, all after AOL has bought it. Owner AOL stopped support for the browser on Saturday, leaving it to fade away gracefully.
In the mid 1990s 90% of the users were using this browser but now this has decreased to the present 0.6% which is almost nothing, reason for this being the dominance of other browsers like Firefox and Internet explorer.
Instead, people from AOL are recommending the remaining 0.6% users to migrate to the other browsers from here. The first version of Netscape appeared in 1994, authored by Marc Andreessen, the man behind the Mosaic browser.
Shawn Hardin, President and CEO of Flock, Netscape said
“Netscape had a critical role in taking all of these zeros and ones - this very academic and technical environment - and giving it a graphical user interface where an average person could come online and consume information”
Saying bye to one of the best and recognized browsers of the web world.

I am sure they will be back, and better. They rise once, and sure they will climb up again. But this time, maybe a little backup from some big big company(just guessing)
