Nokia, after making the copied versions of Nokia 5800, the Nokia 5530 and Nokia 5230 has now finally got into something unique and different! Its coming out with Nokia N900.

They had called Nokia N97 as the handheld computer, but this Nokia N900 phone seems to be something more than that. It comes with the new Linux-based Maemo 5 OS, rather than the traditional Symbian which they always used in any of the other N-series phones. And apart from that, Wi-Fi and HSPA keeps you connected all the time. And it has got most of the features similar to what every other smartphone has, and some of them being superior to others!

It comes with a 3.5″ touchscreen and resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and a 3-row QWERTY keypad externally, unlike the iPhone, Nokia 5800.
The operating system is coming fully powered with features that can support Flash and script loading that can load websites in the way similar to what they appear in browsers in the computer. The browser is based on Mozilla technology.

Imaging experience is awesome with the 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics which is promised to produce high quality images and videos at 848×480 pixels@25fps. And the storage is 32 GB with the pack, and this can be expanded to 48 GB with the MicroSD card.

Wow, this phone is pretty amazing, but the price is a turn off. Remember, its still a cell phone with a cell phone experience, it shouldn’t be trying to compete with a laptop on price. As much as it is convenient to carry, the screen still matters and I would sacrifice portability buy spending that money and buy a laptop with a gorgeous 14 inch screen, built in 3G, 4 GBs of RAM, fast processor and Windows 7 Home Premium.
