Open mailto: email links from Google Chrome in Gmail account

Thanks to lifehacker, we found another good tool for chrome. In Google chrome browser, when u click on a link that leads to mailto:emailaddress, the default mail client for windows, like Windows Outlook opens up. Gmail is a better option than that.

ChromeMailer helps to send the mails through gmail, and when a link of mailto: is clicked, it directly opens the mail option in gmail rather than any default mail client.

It is a 200 Kb MSI file, windows installer based. And it works on both Windows XP and Windows Vista. In Windows Vista, you will need to have the administrator rights to install it, or there will error pop-up appearing if you are running on User Account Control. It requires an up-to-date .NET installation in Windows XP.

Yeah i also switched on to chrome recently, nice application it will come in handy as i send and recieve most of my emails through gmail.

@Sharry: hey guys, I just downloaded this app and I cant get it to work, would you be able to give me a hand. the instructions seem pretty straight forward but I keep getting an error that chromemailer encountered a problem and needs to close every time I click a mailto link.
