Palm Pre recognized as iPod by Apple iTunes

palm pre frontWith already the killer features that Palm Pre has, to beat the iPhone from every way possible, now its breaking into the Apple software and has got the ability to sync with the iTunes of Apple and gets recognized as an iPod when connected to the computer.

Usually the Apple software are so hard to pass off but Palm Pre has got the ability for that, and it can easily sync with the iTunes as an iPod and you can manage the multimedia through iTunes (until apple releases any new firmware or newer version of iTunes to prevent this)!
iTunes has the store where music is sold out for iPhone and iPod users, and Palm Pre users can also buy the music. Though Palm has got no profit from this syncing with iTunes, Apple can still make good money by selling music to Palm Pre users through its iTunes store.

iTunes 8.2 was released just after Apple saw the syncing capability of the Palm Pre, but still its not gone. The Pre can still be synced with iTunes. So what’s Apple going to do next?
If at all Apple releases new firmware, Palm would not keep silent with the same software. When it could hack in through the present version of iTunes, it would not be hard for the later versions too.

Accd. to Palm,

Palm media sync is a feature of webOS that synchronizes seamlessly with iTunes, giving you a simple and easy way to transfer DRM-free music, photos and videos to your Palm Pre. Simply connect Pre to your PC or Mac via the USB cable, select “media sync” on the phone, and iTunes will launch on your computer desktop. You can then choose which DRM-free media files to transfer.

Its a great feature as of now but Apple will surely come up with an update which will make it uncompaitable or maybe they will let the users buy things from iStore and earn money. . . lets see which way Apple goes.
