Pasta hut from Pizza hut internet news - No hoax

pasta hutMany in the world, especially U.K. might be shocked of hearing that Pizza Hut is officially changing their name to Pasta Hut, and very few are left unsurprised with this.

This was considered as hoax news by few bloggers and people, who thought this was just a marketing stunt, to get some more publicity on the web(One of those was me too..).

But some evidences show that they are no fake. The name is being changed, at least some Pizza Hut corners in U.K. have changed the name to Pasta Hut already.
For example, in Blogstorm, a comment shows a Pizza Hut employee stating that its going to happen.

A few other forums like this had also mentioned about this and thought it was something for publicity, but its not.

>>>
Reason behind this?

They are trying to build a healthier image, as Pizza is still considered as a food that does not suit the well being of a person and is not good for health. At least Pasta is.
Pizza Hut boss Alasdair Murdoch said:

“We’ve really been on a journey for four or five years, trying to make our food better, offer more variety and quality for the customers.
“Now we’re putting our food above the parapet. We’re trying to say to people: ‘Yes, we’re great at pizzas, but we’re also great at salads and pasta.’ Pasta is around 3 or 4 per cent of our sales. I’m very sure in a couple of weeks’ time that will be 10 per cent.”

And also the U.K.’s Pasta Hut website has a poll to ask you which name you liked, pasta or pizza!

Something like Hidden vegetables for Kids’ meals is also coming in. So don’t take it as a hoax news on the web, but its a real news about them.

Ha, I remember reading the post you linked to from Blogstorm last week, but I’m quite surprised they’re following through with this idea. If you take a look at the nutritional information for their pasta, it’s not exactly what I would call healthy.

Who ever came up with that name should be shot!

Most U.K Consumers already know pasta is not neccessarily a more healthy option.

    Can you hear that?

    That right there?

That is the sound of a thousand drunken frat boys, lazy geeks, D&D players and frazzled single people shaking their fists at the sky and crying, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” much like the ending to some famous geeky movie about a half-dead guy in a black suit.

    This isn’t Pastahut–this is madness.

    This. Is. Piiizzzzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!hut!
