List of plurk tools to make plurk easier for you!

Submitted by Chetan on Monday, 14 July 20084 Comments

Lately being so close to plurk and trying to figure out more things there, and so i thought to research the web to find some tools that are available to make plurk easy for you, with some added features and desktop clients. You can join plurk, add me as a friend, check some plurk tricks, and tips to increase karma in plurk.

Here is the list of plurk tools -

plurk tools

Plurk firefox sidebar - The Plurk Mobile Sidebar comes complete with Firefox 2 & 3 support, a headless thing button for your toolbar and a keyboard shortcut. The actual features of the Plurk sidebar application are under Plurks control.

Plurkit - Adobe air application - You just have to add this to your set of applications in Adobe air, and it works similar to the plurk firefox sidebar.

Plurk in SocialAddict - Socialaddict is a adobe air application where you can access through 11 of the best social networks and microblogging sites, one of those being plurk. If you don’t really want just plurk as a separate app, and want all the microblogging sites together, then socialaddict is a good one.

Check plurk top users by location - Find other plurk users of a location, and they are arranged according to their karma. Top plurkers all over, and top plurkers regionally both are shown.

Remove plurk logo and creature - This is a script, which you can install and use to remove the top right plurk logo and the creature there. This makes the background clean and neater.

Friendfeed plurk - This is a script that adds Plurk on a tab within FriendFeed, making friendfeed work with plurk too, along with others like twitter etc.

Plurk karma trend observer - This shows the karma changes in your profile, and does not show if you are a new user. You have to add this plurk updater user and then your profile karma trend gets updated.

Upload picks to plurkpix - Similar to twitpic for twitter, its plurkpix for plurk. You can upload a pic upto 4 MB of size, and check how to add image to a plurk.

Import twitter friends to plurk - You can make plurk more friendly to yourself by just logging into twitter through plurk, and importing the whole twitter friends list to your plurk account.

Poll in plurk - Pollk is a poll feature for plurk(Named as Poll plurK), the poll runs in your plurk directly rather than making you go to a new website to vote in the poll. Poll will be automatically deleted after 3 days since their start.

Plurkify Me - This app alerts you about new notifications (people that want to be your friend! :) ) Every five minutes, the notifier will update it’s log and show you any friend alerts you have need to tend to. Its a basic desktop application.

Plurk updater plugin for wordpress - Plurk Updater sends a Plurk to your account anytime you create, publish, or edit a post on your WordPress blog. You can pick and choose when Plurks are sent and what text is passed along with it.

Update, more added -

Plurk Timeline Cleaner - Removes the logo and creature. Removes the vertical dashes. Removes the updater which informs you of recent Plurks from friends. I don’t see any reason for removing the updater, but you can still try it if you want.

Phplurk - Update your plurk timeline using your mobile ! Use its plurk gateway to post your updates on the go.

These are the tools that i could find, if you can find more, please share them and i will add those to the list.
