Posting more about alexa improves alexa ranking?
Once earlier, when i wrote something about alexa thinking that it can be spoofed easily and one can get rankings more easily. I had asked people how much they believe in alexa, and got comments just that they dont, and everyone agreeing that alexa rankings can be manipulated easily. Then why still the major text link companies rely on alexa for deciding the prices for text links?
And i am experimenting on the known and believed fact that Alexa ranking can improve if you mention about alexa more in your website. Lets see how true this is. So you would soon view a few posts later related to alexa, sharing things for the sole purpose to experiment about the fact.
Will try to check from every aspect by which alexa ranking gets influenced. Was just a quick update from my side, was quite busy and travelling from college to home.

Basically returning visitors and especially webmaster type traffic helps in gaining better alexa rank.

hmm, It is true that if you post about alexa in a certain way then it can possibly increase your alexa rank. Now I can tell you one way the other ones I would keep it a secret with me lol.
Keep an alexa javascript in your post. Meaning, an alexa graph of your site, alexa rank button of your site. Don’t convert alexa to text… use the javascript straight from their website and each person who opens the post will be tracked as an alexa visitor and your alexa rank will rise.

gaming alexa is not hard. one can put up a script on their website to fool browsers into thinking that the alexa tool bar is installed on their pc - and thus fool alexa into giving you a +1 stat. So, essentially, the sampling universe is multipled by around 200 - as now everyone helps you get +1 instead of just the guys with alexa tool bar. its a blackhat technique. head over to my site and pm me if you want to know more on how this is done. (although i dont use it myself).

It would take around 3days time for alexa to reflect any traffic changes on their graphs.

i had used this on one of my site and was able to go under 1 lac alexa but after that it was much more harder to get into 50k

With the new update, I wonder if old methods to increase the rank still work.
