The dofollow plugin, about which i had mentioned couple weeks earlier, hasn’t been good for my blog as i see the stats after installing it and having it live for these days.
No am not talking about the plugin features but the main disadvantage i am facing is the number of outbounds per page. It is a good way for people to get backlinks through comments but also think about the quality of posts in Search engines like Google that rate the outbound links from a page as a factor for ranking in their search results.
When i post something interesting, the first day itself i get about 5-10 comments, and so the number of outbounds gets to about 20 in every post page. The number goes on increasing as i get more comments. And the recent comments in the sidebar also has the do-follow which is also responsible for the search engine rankings being hurt for my blog.
Before using the plugin i ranked some good places in Google for few searches, but they disappeared since i am using it.
Extremely sorry for people who just comment here for backlinks, be a regular commenter and i would soon install the top commenters plugin, lot better than this dofollow one.
I am in hunt for organic traffic which can convert to some good subscribers so have to take this step.
Will this be my wise decision?
