Safari 4 – 11 Million Downloads in 3 days

safari logoApple WWDC had released Safari 4 boasting as the World’s fastest browser and it got a whooping 11 million downloads in just 3 days after its release from the beta stage.

In this big number of 11 million downloads, 6 million are from Windows users mostly because the Windows users always keep trying for something faster than the other and Safari being faster than chrome in Javascript loading etc. should have attracted the users.
Although Safari is a default browser for Mac users, Firefox is the browser of choice for many due to the huge plugin support and many other features.

Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing says:

Safari 4 is an incredible success on Mac and Windows with more than 11 million downloads in the first three days. Safari users love the incredible speed and innovative features like Top Sites, Full History Search and Cover Flow.

As i wrote earlier, Safari 4 has got huge improvements and that’s worth downloading for Windows and Mac users, and one would love to use it once they get into it.

The browser is free to download and you can do the same by going to the Apple’s website – apple.com/safari
Safari 4 for Mac needs Mac OS X Leopard® v10.5.7 or Mac OS X Tiger® v10.4.11 and Safari 4 for Windows requires Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista.
