Software to remind you to unplug your flash drive
There are many a times when you forget to do things, and mostly on the computer table, you forget your mobile phone or something in the office and you don’t like to return back there to take it. Same is the case when you load some business stuff into your flash drive and then forget to unplug it.
Windows does not have any warning system to remind you that you are shutting down without unplugging your flash drive, but the software Flash Drive Reminder helps you with that. This software pops up a window when you have not unplugged the flash drive and are shutting down your computer. It comes in 2 versions -
Standard version
Quiet version

The Standard version pops up a small window when Reminder starts. This window serves as a reminder that the flash drive is still in the computer. The Standard version also includes the following options:
Start minimized – minimize the reminder window to the Taskbar
Open an Explorer window on startup – display flash drive’s files on when Reminder starts
The Quiet version has no options and does not pop up a window when you insert your flash drive. All it does is pop up a reminder to remove the drive when you log off or shut down the computer. However, when it is running, you will not be able to use Windows’ Safely Remove Hardware utility to remove your flash drive.
You can download the Flash Drive Reminder software from here.

This is gonna prob sound like a daft question BUT can you damage your flash drive if you do not unplug it when you close your pc down or is this prog just to help you to remember to unplug the device and take it with you?

This is one thing that most of my customer need, cos they always just unplug it straight away or leave the flash drive plug on the pc. …
