Technorati is one of the best social bookmarking sites for blogs, and a blog search engine actually. It lists our blogs and publishes any new post of your blog into the blogosphere and is one of the easy ways to get good traffic to your blog.
Indexing over 100 million blogs in its index, and having such a source to ping new content from every blog. So be sure to start promoting your blog by claiming your blog in Technorati, by following this guide -
1. Register to Technorati
2. Go to the blog manager section after logging in.
3. Enter the blog URL in the box and click on Begin Claim option -
This will send you to the next step, which is the main part of claiming process.
4. Generally there are three methods of claiming your blogger blog and 2 ways if claiming any other blog.
You can go for any of the below methods to claim -
OpenID Claim - For blogger blogs, Clicking on the “Use OpenID Claim” link will take you to your blog. If you are not logged in already, it will ask you to log in. Your blog will ask you for permission to allow this OpenID blog claim. After you agree to allow it, you will be returned to the Technorati website.
Quick Claim - Just enter the username and password for your blog. This information will only be used to verify that you own the blog, and it won’t be shared or stored.
Post Claim - Just write a new post in your blog that includes a special link to your Technorati Profile to get the ball rolling. You can always delete the post later.
5. Activation of claim - After selecting the type of claim, generally quick claim option, enter your wordpress username and password for the blog. This information would not be shared with others, so no need of worrying about privacy.
6. Customizing blog info - You can now add description and tags to your blog, and also let technorati know which language your blog uses. And you can also use favorite button in your blog.
7. Successful - That was the last step and now your blog will be in the claimed blogs list. In the list, there is your technorati authority rank also shown.
Subscribe to this blog and get updated with the best tips and tricks on Technology, Gadgets etc.
