The best twitter interface – iTweet.net
Today morning, i had opened a poll for the best twitter client, and this site that am going to talk about, can not be called as a twitter client, as its just a website similar to the twitter web homepage, but is the next generation of twitter, and that is how twitter has to be in future.
iTweet was one of those sites related to twitter, which i really liked and would go to tweet, if am on the web and not using any client. It has everything based on the AJAX technology, and there is no need of refreshing the page at all, to do any of the following things -
- Read new tweets
- Read any new replies
- View profile of a user
- Shorten URLs
- Upload pics through Twitpic
- Editing your own profile
- View tweets from a particular user
Almost everything is possible through iTweet without a single refresh needed to do so. You can also Direct message a member through the interface itself.
There is an option beside every tweet to retweet, or reply or add that tweet to your favorites. Click on the profile picture of a member and you would see the short profile of him/her. And clicking on their username would load the tweets made by that particular user.
There are symbols, which we called Twitterkeys earlier, which you can include in your tweets.
And the most interesting part, you can shorten URLs via bit.ly to share in your tweets, and through the same page, you can upload images to the twitpic service. Just write the caption, and hit Upload. Select the picture to upload and it would be done and already tweeted to your account.
Amazing features, and the pictures below would show you most of it.

Thanks for the great review, I’m glad you enjoy iTweet.net! I just began work on iTweet 3, which will include support for multiple accounts, groups and more.
iTweet is a pet project that I tinker with on the weekends, getting such great response as this is quite an encouragement to keep adding more features!
