plurk profilePlurk, the new social networking and micro-blogging service has been very much in blogs everywhere and many bloggers, both high-profile and low-profile are getting very much addicted to it and keep on regularly update and plurk in it.
Building profile in plurk has various factors which you can maintain to have good features enabled in your profile. The main factor being Karma, a point system where your activity determines your karma. You have to be good there, not spam etc. or else it decreases and so your value does.

Here are a few ways by which you can increase your plurk karma -

> Be active - Be plurking and updating whenever possible. Keeping yourself active will keep your karma higher. But spamming will lower your karma, so be good and genuine.

> Invite friends - Invite real friends from any of your email services, twitter and other social networks, and inviting them and making them join will make your karma levels higher.

add friends plurk

> Responses help a lot - Not just your plurks, but more responses to your plurk is also a positive feature. So keep in mind, spammy plurks will not get much replies and your karma decreases. Having some interesting plurks posted will yield many many responses and this will lead to rise in your karma.

> Update your profile - Don’t leave the default profiles as it is, update them by changing your birthday, updating your location etc. will lead to increase in your karma.

> Use smilies, have fun - Not sure if this really works, but i read this when i rolled my mouse over my karma score, and it showed that having fun will increase your karma. There were smilies too in there, so i think its linked to karma influence.

> Usage of images, videos - Use images and videos to your plurks and your karma will increase. As always being static with no images etc. just bores your followers, isn’t it? Here is how to use images, videos and links in plurk.

> Now, don’t be too much active - This is what the safe plurking tips from plurk says. Try to limit your plurks per day to 30. More than that would generally be annoying your followers and making you a spammer, would affect your karma.

Be a good friend to all plurkers, and you will be loved!

@Varun: Got bored of it already.. Actually first i thought it was something i would be interested about, but very soon realized that it’s a big time waster. Twitter is a lot better than Plurk. And as i said, i never like the karma like things in websites, where continued activity is required to build up karma.
