After 3 big rivals and names on the web trying to acquire the most popular microblogging site Twitter, the owner and co-founder’s confirmation has finally said that Twitter is not for sale, and would be running with the same people who are right now.
First being Google, then Microsoft Corp. and now Apple Inc. tried to deal with Twitter and acquire it fully and make it a part of its portfolio. But then Twitter denies with every deal.
Rumors were that Apple had given a $700 million offer for twitter which got denied, and Biz Stone said “No. We are not for sale.”
All the tech blogs and social media people were aware of this as soon as the rumor spread, and Apple wanted to have a quick deal so that they could announce the news on June 8th, at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference. Apple has not only the plans to build the microblogging site, but to monetize it well, and make it a very strong social and advertising network.
Apple is always known for its creativity and it can do the same with Twitter too, if the deal has went successfully. But Twitter is not going for sale anytime in the near future, as both the Co-founders say.
Making money from the site has been a challenge for Twitter founders, or they are still trying to make a master plan to make good revenue without too much with ad display, but right now, there is no such revenue plan which is helping them make any money. And at this time, Apple Inc. offering $700 million shows how good Apple might be planning to monetize and make money from the site.
Premium accounts was one of the plans made by Twitter but still no signs of it, and the user base is very large with millions of users in it.
