Twitter Tool 1 – TweetVolume – Compare keyword usage in twitter

TweetVolume is a twitter tool which helps in analyzing the most popular and frequently mentioned and used words in twitter by people.

Accd. to Mashable –

TweetVolume is a frequency search engine of sorts, giving you feedback, by way of graphical representation, how many times your search term has shown up on Twitter. That’s where the information stops, though. There is no way to see where your search terms are showing up on Twitter, and the data isn’t placed in the context of time. This isn’t a plugin or anything, so there’s no downloading involved, and it won’t feed you frequency information on particular words as you peruse Twitter. TweetVolume is a strictly fun and recreational tool that can be used for a variety of reasons, letting you decide your own details for how the information really came about.

You can enter upto 5 keywords and can find out which one is the most popular keyword of all. The most famous gadget, the famous celeb, famous politician and anything can be grossly estimated through this tool.

Check one of the example graphs which i got when comparing the 5 famous tech blogs – Mashable, techcrunch, techmeme, gizmodo and engadget. Techmeme wins!

  1. This is pretty informational. I never knew that twitter has this tool as well. I joined twitter a month or two ago but I really do not have any idea what exactly it is all about. I just joined it because someone made a contest with freebies if i would follow him/her at twitter and some contests require the account.. that is why..

I read the quoted text above and i just realize that it can be a powerful tool too.. maybe for traffic? But as mentioned, it (twitter) also has shortcomings.

  2. I don’t think this is very accurate.. I just did a search for various candy bars and the results didn’t reflect what i found just looking at Twitter’s search results.
