Video Monday 1 - Guide on how to blog in Wordpress.com

Submitted by Chetan on Monday, 25 August 20084 Comments

I have decided to add an extra post every monday, sharing one of the videos that i came across any video sharing sites like Youtube, Revver, Metacafe etc. These videos will be informative ones and would be related to wordpress, Google and other webmaster related things.

So here’s the video for today -
Chris Abraham of appliedblogging.org shares a big 45-minute tutorial, step-by-step training on how to blog at a blog with wordpress.com. The video has every part of it, like registering a blog, then customizing options, uploading media, writing and editing a post in the wordpress blog.
The video being 45 minutes in length, you can imagine how well it explains. You can become a blogger in just 45 minutes of training. Enjoy the video.
The sections that i can see mainly helpful there -

  • Registering with wordpress.com
  • Registering a free hosted blog
  • Making Categories
  • Writing a Post
  • Uploading a image to embed into the post
  • Check for spam
  • General blog settings
  • Editing and deleting posts

If you are new to wordpress, just hold tight and let the whole video load, and then watch it to learn the things.

Nice guide there. The person who made the video might have taken full time and work to prepare it. Again it would be helpful for me to setup a blog.

    Thanks for sharing.
