So this term and this topic also is popular since quite a few months, and there are many flaws pointed out about a web directory, and many positive points too. I finally thought to write up something like a tutorial explaining everything about a web directory. And am dividing this post into 6 essential parts -

Keep in mind that i am not a big web directory Mogul but am just trying to explain everything in my words, and feel it will be useful for people to understand the underneath of web directories.
