Ok here is a poll for twitter users, and should be answered by twitter users who care about their twitter clients(platform through which they tweet).
I have been using Twitterfox add-on for firefox, and it works perfectly for me. A few people suggested some good clients, and totally there are 10 options in the poll, and the last one “Other” so that you can select that and let me know in comments which is your favorite twitter client.
There are many clients, some only for mac, some for a particular OS, and some are multi-platform which comes with Adobe AIR application to run with. And of those, i did not like anything better than Syrinx for mac, and browser-based one is Twitterfox as am mostly working in the browser, checking websites, writing posts etc. So twitterfox for me.

My favouriye out of the list is Tweetdeck
For me, Twhirl and Twitterfox are the best Twitter clients. But still nothing beats the original Twitter.com

@martin: I had heard of that but did not include as most of them said that it was an additional sidebar for firefox which ate additional space and many preferred twitterfox over that.
As said already, the top 10 mentioned clients are taken in the list.
