Which to choose?
I have been using a Nokia N70 since an year and have been blogging through it since quite a few months. But now i feel i have used enough of it, and now will have to shift to a new mobile. There are a lot that are available in the market, and which are very much compatible for web browsing and blogging.
I asked few of my online friends and here are the recommendations -
LG Viewty KU990, a 5-megapixel camera mobile with xenon flash and autofocus. Has a large touchscreen and there is an option to upload videos directly to Youtube. One of the excellent features of the camera is that it can record videos @ 120 frames/second and so fast videos can be slowed down.
There are just 3 keys – send, end and cancel keys.
It has a good userfriendly interface.
HTC Touch
Windows mobile 6.0 which has full supported Wi-Fi for speed internet connectivity. Play it with your fingertips as it has an advanced touch screen. Integrated bluetooth and 2.0 megapixel camera. One of my friends recommended this to me as he was happy using it and other uses a “Wing” version of touch, with external slide keyboard unlike the on-screen keyboard in the standard touch.
Palm treo 700p
It is said to be the first phone using Palm OS, and has a 320 x 320 pixel display.
It is powered by a 312 MHz Intel XScale processor. It has an internal chip memory of 128 Mb. Camera is of 1.3 megapixel and can has 2x digital zoom. Phone supports 2Gb memory slot externally.
Wi-Fi is not supported.
The reason why this phone is in my selection list is that many people are happy using it for browsing the internet, IM, Email etc.
Or do you have any phones that you use for internet browsing? Please recommend those.

If you just want a good phone, and dont give a crap about the “interwebs”, Nokia 6110 Navigator is a GOOD!!! phone, one of the best I had actually (and I have had alot of phones (My work is to sell them) ).
If you consider HTC Touch, why not HTC Touch Cruize wich have GPS? or the HTC Touch Dual. The Dual have a slide keyboard, and works better as an phone that way (it sucks to use a only-touch-screen-phone to call with).
If you want to use it for internet/im/email, look at Nokias E-series, Nokia E90, Nokia E61i etc.
Or Samsung with Windows Mobile, dont remember the name, but one of them actually have a trackpad (little one though).
Last time I tried the LG Viewty, it was slow as hell. (but again that was an prototype).

Just checked the LG viewty yesterday and it looks really beautiful but will keep in mind as you said that it might stuck up.
So will check with the navigator phone or the E series of Nokia.
I guess you have to choose Palm treo 700p. I have been using Nokia N70 also but still I find it great for now…

The Palm Treo 700p is an amazing phone. My brother actually just got one about 3 weeks ago and he absolutely loves it.
These phones r piece of craps, nokia 5110 is much more better than this
im definitely into HTC brand since now im using HTC TYTN II which i think has everything in one gadget. This is built with Windows Mobile 6 and data transfer from my ISP to the PC itself has never ruin badly and this is absolutely great buying.. more to come with HTC lol~
ill consider anything relate to HTC since im having HTC TYTN II right now and the function, tools are just great.. the integration between them and my ISP is also good and im really happy of using this..
Dont worry iam gonna get the Macbook reinstalled soon then you wont need a new phone

well htc touch is a good mobile and also cheaper than palm tree plus when i used it i was feeling that i am holding a mini laptop i think you should go for htc touch is looks wonderful my friend has it and i am also going to buy soon
If i had to choose only among the three options, i’d choose HTC touch.
If i had other options, i ‘d definitely go for another Nokia….may be N73 or some latest one.

If you want to have a bit of fun,then try Iphone from Apple..

I see HTC touch and LG viewty are more in people’s view..
But i do keep Caper’s views in my mind and respect that. Viewty might be stucking up and slowing down in the later stages.

Well I would add Nokia E61i and Sony Ericsson P1i, both are great smart phones to blog as well.

I don’t think I would ever be able to blog on my phone. I might… one day in the distant future, but I prefer having a computer in front of me.
