WordPress 2.7 Version Demo Pictures – Sneak Peak
As i said earlier that the wordpress 2.7 release date has been set to November 10th, 2008 and the wordpress 2.7 demo by Matt Mullenweg showed already, some of the best features of wordpress 2.7!
I got a chance to sneak-peak through the 2.7 backend through a blog, and i could try it out and then took a few screenshots of the new version, which are shown below. Btw its superb, and a few things are ajax-based, like the quick post on the home page of wp-admin section, and comments section where there are options to play with the comments, reply to them from the same place.
Check out the screenshots – (Click on the images to enlarge them)
The index page of wp-admin, which has the direct box to post quick posts and save them as drafts. And an inbox, in the left side where private messages from people are accessible.

The New post writing page, where every box can be moved from left to right, up to down, and you can have a control on what to have and what you want to remove. See the options section in the top area. Also there is an option “Stick this post to the front page”, looks good.

The manage comments section has good changes, where you can reply to comments with a box that appears when you hit the reply link, and there you can edit the HTML in your comment.

The quick edit options for posts, where many options are there to make changes to the already posted item.

The media library has a couple options like the flash uploader along with the browser uploader and you can switch between them.
Doesn’t it look cool?

I have heard that it’d also have comments API, that’d be great.. it will open a new niche for application developers.
