Wordpress 2.8, the latest and still to be released platform version for bloggers, is due to release on June 10th, 2009. As always expected, wordpress releases a newer version when the features are well defined and better than the previous version of wordpress. And this time too, there are a few things to check out and appreciate when the 2.8 version of wordpress is released.

There were many suggestions made for this version, but which are not included would be developed in the next version of wordpress, i.e. 2.9 version.
The 2.8 version has a theme browser and installer section in the interface just like what we saw for the plugins and installation of themes would now be pretty easy without the usage of FTP for upload of themes.

There are many other things changed in the dashboard section which you can understand if you already tried the new version or when it is released. The widgets can be better implemented and customized.
And it is also said that the later versions of wordpress are going to show the integrated and merged versions of Wordpress and MU (multi user) where building up of multiple blogs under a single one would become a lot easier and faster.
