The mother of phablets, we may call it, if at all what is being rumored is confirmed as true. But at the same time, does the smartphone and phablet world already need so heavy stuff internally, when we are not able to properly take advantage of what is being given in the devices that we have around? The ZTE Nubia Z7 is soon going to enter the market according to the recent rumors, but the interesting news is not about what’s coming, but about what’s coming in it! The 6.3-inch mammoth device is going to have some of the best specs and features ever seen in the Android devices yet.
Internal powering of the Nubia Z7 from ZTE will be done by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 SoC with 4 Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz, Aderno 330 GPU and 4GB of RAM! That’s huge, even my laptop has got 2GB of RAM and am quite happy as it provides at the level of my expectation.
The 6.3-inch screen is going to have a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which would be again better than most of the huge screens of the laptops and the tablet devices that we see around. The rear side of the phablet is going to have a 16-megapixel camera with the flash, and the device is rumored to arrive with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The connectivity options in the Nubia Z7 include the Bluetooth, Dual band Wi-Fi, micro USB, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC and the 4G LTE networking.
We heard a couple days back that the Lenovo P780 smartphone is coming with the huge 4000 mAh battery, it’s the same in the ZTE Nubia Z7 too. It’s going to be a device 9mm thick, and the battery could fit well into it because of the large size of the screen which will have a parallel back, making it easier for the large internal stuff to be packed in on the back.
The great stuff doesn’t end here, because the device is going to have an internal storage of 128GB, and there would be no MicroSD card slot for the expansion of storage, but if the news about the storage is true, do we really need more than 128GB at any point of time?
Now, coming to the main point – Do we really need a device so huge with such a powered internal system? We did have the same thoughts when Samsung had launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 in India with the Octa-core processor, and the 13-megapixel camera which did not huge wonders but these numbers sometimes help only in obsession.
Let’s see how true all these rumored details are, and if ZTE is really coming up with such a powered phablet device into the Android world.
